SRS Sjölanders has signed a contract with Balfour Beatty Rail AB in Sweden for the supply of 7 multiflexible road-rail vehicles in 2011 with an option for another two vehicles. The contract total value is approximately 65 million SEK and is the largest single order ever in our history. The order is for the company's core products. These consist of Over-Headline and Multi-Purpose Road-Rail Vehicles. The Multi-Purpose Vehicles is also fitted with snow removal modules. All vehicles, whose major advantage is the flexibility of use, will be used both for maintenance and construction. The order can be seen as a further development of the deepening cooperation between our businesses. This includes the refurbishment / upgrade of the customer’s existing road-rail vehicles, dedicated service staff to Balfour Beatty and around the clock support. This is a new exciting concept for SRS Sjölanders, in providing for customers needs in an ever changing industry. It is particularly gratifying that this order is for Sweden where SRS Sjölanders recent years most sold vehicles for export. SRS Sjölanders look forward to provide support in Balfour Beatty's continued successful expansion.
